What does a Rear end for a 1977 corvette go for these days I have one and don't know what a fair price is for a good one. I have a problem The rear end has shifted over about 2inches on the drivers side so, the passenger side tire fits flush with the body but, the drivers side sticks out 2 inches can this be adjusted if so, how. |hammer|

I don't know how much, but the rear end is not the problem of the rear wheels shifting. The rear end is attached to the frame. The rear suspension or frame is the rear shift problem. This could be a few different things, but with independent rear, and this affecting both rear wheels, I suspect a frame problem.

This may be a dumb question...but are the rims and tire sizes all the same? Is the backspacing on all the rims at 4"? What I'm getting at is since one side is flush and the other side sticks out, shouldn't the flush side be in 2" in relation to the side that is out 2" for the rear end to be shifted over? Does the trailing arm look bent?

It sounds like you have a serious problem!
Maybe something failed big time!
Have someone check it out before you drive it again!
Let us know what you find!

I'd LOVE to have a look under this car!~

But I have ask a few questions:
What were you doing immediatly before you noticed this? and, are you right or left handed?

Oh... one more question,...
does tire smoke burn your throat and your eyes like it does mine?
