Vette(s): 1970 T-Top350/350hp numbers matching 4 speed. It's a mess and 1970 Convertible 4 speed.
On the 81 I notice a lot of oil splatter underneath the rear. I could not fine the rear end plug to check it. What side of the car is it on?

Passenger side, pipe plug, with a red plastic tag on it(or should be...they do get lost sometimes).

Your 81 should have the "batwing" differential cover on it I believe.  The drain plug is on the passengers side rear of the differential cover.  Actually the entire batwing is the differential cover.  It takes a hex wrench to unscrew the plug, cant remember the size.
