You have to remove the half shafts, then remove the big nut from inside the spindle, remove the flange that the u-joint bolted onto, then slide the greasing tool on the spindle so it seats into the back seal.now put the nut on the spindle and finger tighten the nut up against the greaser, just finger tighten it snugly ,dont put a wrench on it ,you will break it.according to the instructions I got with mine,it says to put in 2or3 tablespoons of grease ? I called up mid america, and asked them what that was about? they said two or three pumps with a standard hand grease gun, dont go over 4 you will blow out the grease seals!know just reverse the procedure ,take off tool remount flange, torque spindle nut,put half shafts back on. Important tip the tool only gets grease to the rear bearing not the front one.good luck !

Hi Willard
From what I've heard If the trailing arms are original
they need to be regreased at 50k miles. The factory manual also advises to regrease the U-joints at 50k???
If you have aftermarket replacement trailing arms
there should be extra grease in there and will last a long time.
