I was looking though Mid America catalogue and found this thing.I was wondering if anyone has any experience with it. I would like to grease the rear bearings without having to dismantle everything. Part # 602-670. It looks just to easy to use.

I have never used one or heard good or bad either way but would worry about blowing out the seal.

It will grease the inner bearing only. Better than nothing, I guess, but...you do stand a chance of popping the inner seal.

Those things really only get grease to the inner bearing...nothing gets to the outer. There are, however, bearing supports that do have two zerk fittings for greasing. A much better alternative.
You could also drill/tap your own supports for the fittings, if you wanted to. This is something that you might consider whenever you have to replace the rear bearings. You'd get the full benefit of squirting some grease to both bearings.
Truth be told, I really don't see the advantage of greasing the rear bearings, anyway. If they are set-up properly, and with the correct amount/type of grease to start with, they should never need any additional grease over the life of the bearing assembly. Pumping a couple of shots in a worn, dry bearing assy. might get ya a few more miles, but it ain't a real "fix".

my 2c.

Joel is absolutely right.  The stock assemblies lasted for 100,000 miles or more.  Adding grease might add another few miles, but you have to disassemble the whole thing to put in the kind that greases both bearings, so why bother?
