Vette(s): 1976 coupe with a custom body and a 396 big block with nitrous installed. Runs great!!
I have the removal, setup and install tools if you are interested. You can safely remove the spindle and setup the shims without having to press the bearings on and off till you get the correct end play. The install tool will help you put it all back together. I did mine with these tools and it worked great. You can borrow it if you pay for the shipping both ways.It is somewhat heavy aproximatly 20 lbs or so so the shipping might be a little high.

Thanks for all the replies and in particular the latest one offering to lend me the tools, you guys are great, however I believe I have stumbled upon a local Vette shop that will remove and install new ones on the car for only $100 more expensive than if I bought them from Ecklers or whoever, thats going to save me a lot of hassle all for $100, I love working on my cars, but this is too good to turn down, I'll let you know how it comes out in the end.
