I found it in the 1970--69 service manual while I was reading the whole thing for no apparent reason..I took a picture of it because I don't type all that well..Hope this helps M&S.

HOORAY, Piece of cake. Worked well. Minor adjustment needed. Must have gotten out of sync when we put transmission back in. THANKS Mark
While on the subject of lock -out adjustment....I was working on the interior wiring on my 1972 4 speed and found a wire where the insulation was melted end to end! The previous owner thought wrapping it end to end in electrical tape was an adequate solution!!! According to wiring diagrams and scrounging around in a 73 that was being used to display an Auto Twirler at Carlisle, the best I could determine this pink wire from the 4 way flasher element pairs up with a lime green wire into an "L" shaped connector which is gone in my car.. The matching half of that connector is also missing (no surprise) on my car but I believe that it connects through the firewall to a back up light switch mounted on the transmission. The entire back up light switch and harness is missing from my car as well so I have no way to verify this. Can anyone verify this. Its hard to determine even looking at the factory assembly manual. Sorry for the long post! Thanks!
Mario
Neither of mine work, so I'll have to check into this. Was it really that easy, Mark? Stuff just aint suppose to be easy on these cars.
