That's very interesting about the tranny dimensions being very similar to the old 4 speed. You see, I sold my 4 speed quite a while back, knowing I'd be getting a Richmond. So, unfortunately, I don't have any comparison. Thank you for sharing this info.

Oh...so you don't have it to compare.

Did you see the pics on my website of the two side by side? As you can see, they are basically the same length, the ROD is just much wider in the rear.

Running sidepipes is a real blessing for this conversion. You will have some tinkering to make the final adjustment on the shifter. With sidepipes, there is more than enough room to do it. With a standard exhaust, you are struggling to get room there.

Thanks for those pix! Wow, that 6 speed is gorgeous. Mine's been backordered 'tl Feb. 2 for shipment, so I have to wait another couple weeks. Yeah, I've got Hooker headers and sidepipes; I'm glad to hear that simplifies installation. Thank you so much for all the info.

This had to make a huge difference. Let us know how it works out on the highway. There has to be a great increase in fuel mileage, and still keep the git up and go!
