Well, cloudy afternoon, not much ta do, so I went into the man cave and proceeded to pull the tailshaft housing off the 700R4 and replace the current drive and driven gears with the correct ones (15 tooth and 41 tooth). Not too complicated - just need patience to get everything out of the way - driveshaft, trans crossmember, etc....
Immediate and obvious revelation - I was speedin around town a lot!!!
Now I can look forward to know how fast I'm goin when I head out to CFAC next week!!
Hope everyone had a peaceful and reflective Sep 11th on Saturday....

ou know I was thinkin about how you figured out the gears and if they came with the kit.
My daughter Swim team had a fund raiser car wash today in the rain, I agreed to detail a co workers car and donate the money to the girls. I started a SRT Caddy at 11:00 am today and finished at 4PM complete Zaino job including tire dressing and leather treatment for the interior.
Then I gave the $30 bucks to my daughter......what parents do for their kids
I'm tired!

, I told her a good detail shop would want at least 100 bucks for the job and most people do not know what goes into a good detail job. I did get two real nice hugs thou.....

I was glad to do it for her and she is a car girl, she learned a lot and will be putting an order into Sal Zaino Monday.......bada boom bada bing! Have to love dem Hobokin New Jarsey mafia chemist! Hay u lukin at mee???

You obviously changed both gears..it is always a good thing to know how fast you were going if you get pulled over..I guess you wouldn't be lying if you told him 15 mph less than what he clocked you at!! They never believe that one anyhow..little story.. I did that speedo thing on a local cop car that I had changed ring and pinion gears to have a higher top speed.I think 308??.a 95 caprice..I was going down a side road that went parallel to a major highway with a speed gun out the window to check my actual speed!!--the traffic on the highway almost came to a complete stop!!-- obviously fearing a ticket!! I didn't realize it (because I usually don't..according to the wife) untill I came back up the same road only to see everyone staring at me!! needless to say I had a little fun with it after that!!

Little research turns out that Zaino is a mile form LukesVette HQ. Who'da known......
