Hey gius, I got some questions, Partly for this Vette, and for future projects. Here it goes:
Whats the maximum HP/TRQ rating the rear can handle before it bottoms out?
Whats the maximum HP/TRQ rating the tranny can handle?

The max trq/hp a component will handle before it comes apart is just before it xplodes!!
L-88s, LS-6s., LT1s, all were high HP/Tq engines, and they all had the same basic diffs in them. They were "heavy-duty", but that was mostly the stub(axle) shafts, and half-shafts. The main diff. assy was the same, with the exception of the gear ratios available.
The 350 trans will handle just about anything you throw at it, as long as you throw cash, too.
Safe range would be around 250-300hp for a totally stock unit(in good condition). With a few more dollars.....er.......parts, it can handle whatever you got. The HD parts are available to make a 350 hold up.
(Torque convertors, hardened shafts, HD sprags, clutches, etc, etc.)

Your diff should hold up to about 600- 650 HP. Anything over that
you'll need to convert to 30 spline axles and that should be good up to
about 950 - 1000 HP. Anything over that and you'll need to do a 12 bolt
conversion along w/the 30 spline axles. Thats good up to 1300HP. I
don't know anyone w/more than 1300HP so I can't say if it will hold
much more than that or not.
