Can anyone tell me if I can eliminate the cruise devise under front drvrs. fender,can I install new speedo cable from transmission directly to speedo on dash.Factory must have done it,not all 1977's had cruise

Hey, Mike! I guess your memory must be gettin fuzzy like mine, eh?
There is another thread on this...you started it!   

You can run the cable directly, but you will probably need an adaptor/ratio reducer for a non-cruiz car.

I have always bought the non cruise control version and it works great , but they are getting about  $25.00 for those cables these days. Available from any good parts house.
