All very good and accurate information. I would just like to add one thing that does not apply to our C3s.

I would not recommend reprograming the computer unless first adding the shift kit or otherwise beefing the transmission. This is even more important on front wheel drive cars. The timing is dropped to not only control traction, but to keep from blowing the transaxle. The extra trans work will usually prevent this, and give very good response.

Well,a computer is one thing I dont have to worry about |biggrin| I do plan on upgrading,but most likely to a 700-4R

Can't go wrong with the 700R4. That's a long way away for me. I can buy a lot of gas before paying for the extra mileage. Unless you change the rear as well, and get more from the bottom and hold the mileage about the same. More money. But the low end alone can be worth it. |wink| |smile|

Both my vette & my Cutlass have pretty much the sme drivetrain,except the Olds is an Olds 350.And theyre both TH350's...but the vette has 3.55's and at 60mph its already winding out about 3200,so it would probly get the swap 1st.I'm not sure what my Cuttys rear end ratio is,but its alot higher.Hard to figure it cuz the speedo dont work,& I havent got around to putting in the rallye pac I got for it yet. |sad|
