Thanks, Ben. That's some killer research work. The next step would be to find a good local shop. I think a lot of these guys are so used to working Automatics that they've forgotten what 4 speed looks like inside. Seriously.

not having an m-22 i dont know exactly what it would sound like
but from what I imagine it would be like a timing gear drive..
if my m-21 ever fails ill be making that upgrade..
ken said he wanted the engine that could destroy an m-22
I'd be happy with an engine that could destroy an m-21
and by the way the site I found that on (the one that sells the kit) is
http://www.fourgeartrans.com/
ive never done any business with them so you might want to shop around..

This is quite a makeover (engine, trans, suspension, etc.)I'm about to embark on. I think I'll write an article for Shark Bytes on the pitfalls and tribulations encountered by the novice Vette owner taking on such a large project. More times than not, it would be from a customer's perspective, since a lot of the mods are beyond my capabilities (shadetree). Picking the right shop and managing the funds are two issues that immediately come to mind. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, I'll be asking for a whole lot of advice from ya'll. Wish me luck, I feel an ulcer coming on .

That would be a great article. Please do it. Having never taken my car for service, just tires and the like, I would love to see the other side.
