I have to get my transmission rebuilt. Is it a upgrade rebuild I can get from stock? I have the 80 vette with Borg Warner 4speed. I have 3.73 gears in rear about 320 hp I want to be fast off the line. And to cruise around town

Not really a lot you can do that will improve the trans from stock....they're pretty tough to start with. A good rebuild with good bearings, and synchro rings will probably be all ya need, for your application. 3.73 gears should move ya pretty quick off the line, and still be streetable.

The Borg Warner Super T-10 trans uses the same kit from '74-'82. There is a Heavy Dooty kit with better bearings, also. You cab get a rebuild kits from several places, such as one of our Sponsors here, or Summit, Jegs, etc. Or you can get your local transmission shop to order you one. Are you going to build it yourself, or have someone do it for you?

Kajun Jon will have anything you need, if you can't find it locally.
Average rebuild labor, figure around at least $200-$400, depending on what needs replacing, for a shop to do it. Add your parts cost on top of that.....it can add up pretty quick! Bearing/synchro kits are around $200, with the HD kit higher still. If you get it done(parts & labor) for less than $600, you got a great deal, imo. At least that's for around here....other areas will usually be different.
Where the heck is Fresno, Tx, anyway?
