Trans Swap Instructions
· Disconnect
kickdown and modulator
· Set
car on stands/ramps
· Drain
trans
· Disconnect
trans lines
· Disconnect
speedo cable
· Support
engine oil pan
· Unbolt
converter
· Take
weight off of trans with floor jack
· Disconnect
e brake pulley
· Unbolt
exhaust, trans mount and crossmember
· Unbolt
and remove driveshaft
· Measure
from tailshaft to differential yoke
· Remove
dipstick
· Remove
cable bracket from pan
· Remove
bellhousing bolts
· Take
trans down and out
· Remover
flexplate
-------------------------------------------
· Install
new flexplate with new bolts and loctite
· Pour
1 qt trans fluid into converter
· Slide
converter into trans and make sure it clicks down twice
· Bolt
in new trans bell housing bolts
· Install
new crossmember and trans mount
· Remove
jacks under both pans
· Connect
trans lines
· Attach
cable with new bracket
· Install
new driveshaft
· Install
exhaust
· Bolt
converter to flexplate with new bolts
· Install
new dipstick
· Recheck
all fasteners on trans, exhaust, driveshaft, crossmember, converter
---------------------------------------------------
· Install
shifter upgrade
· Make
trans lines
· Install
trans cooler and lines
· Install
carb brackets and TV cable
· Adjust
TV cable and DOUBLECHECK!!!
· Add 6
qts of fluid and start car
· Cycle
gears and continue to add fluid until proper level is on dipstck
· Roadtest
car and top off fluid as necessary

Rich, Thanks for the offer to help put it back in. Once it falls out and I spray it, it will take a day or two till its dry enough to do anything with it. I hope to do the whole underbody so it might be a while until it goes in. I'll give you a shoot when I plan on it. I know Im away next weekend.
