Vette(s): 1977 L-82 originally white/buckskin interior. Currently undergoing a frame-off resto. and modifications.YEEHAW!!!

-John,

Believe it or not, I was reinstalling my u-joints this week, and guess what happened....

yep, you guessed it, a cap fell off, and the bearings went for a little trip. I ended up picking up all the needles, and cleaning, and greasing them, and reinstalled them.

A little note of trivia for y'all....

There are 33 needle bearings in the end caps.

Thanks for jinxing me.

Alan

GRRRRRR!!!
Good news, good news! I found the missing cap in my not-quite-spotless garage. I had actually put it up on a shelf and forgot.... All of the needle bearings are intact, so I can just clean, regrease and pop that sucker back on. I think that's the first good break I've had with this car
You silly wabbit!!!!

Youse guys ever here of tape? Use masking/'lectrical/duct/Scotch tape to hold the caps on the u-joints, and they won't be hiding from ya!
