I am getting a vibration from the right rear at 70mph.From o to 70 no vibration..
Wheel bearings have been greased.What can this be??

Are you sure that tire is properly balanced? It could have thrown a weight. This is the first thing that comes to mind.

i have the same problem. i suspect the wheel weights have been thrown as well. my problem started when i took the car over 95 (will not say HOW MUCH over 95 ) and it has started to have a vibration at 70

my guess also is the tire balance. there is a trick when getting your tires balanced with the use of sticky weights. these are the weights put on the back of the rim so no weights are used in the front. i have gotten tires/rims home after balancing before mounting, taken then off my truck and watched the weights fall off from improper preperation before putting them on. once you get the tires/rims home or at the tire store take a can of white/black/etc. spray paint and lightly spray the sticky weights with the paint. this will leave a shadow mark if any of the weights fall off in the future. pick a color that blends in with the wheel and car so it is not noticable.

the other possible cause of a vibration is and after market rim that has a different rim center hole from the rear hub center. if this is applicable you need hub rings for the rim to properly center the rim on the car before the lug nuts are screwed on. otherwise the tire/rim will almost never be centered 100% correctly.

It could also be a bent rim or bad tire. Either is not as likely as balance.

Check and see if the vibration coincides with your engine RPM at that speed by running the same engine speed in second gear. I had the problem and found the exhaust was touching the cross member where it passed through. I put another rubber isolated exhaust hanger on pulling the pipe away from the cross member. Vibration gone!!

Just a suggestion but I sold tires for goodyear for years and youd be amazed at how much runout a new tire can have, runout is how much the tire itself is actually out of round, when you get the tires re-balanced have them check for runout, id its excessive tell them to turn th etire on the rim 180 degrees somtimes this will help alot, if its too bad you might have to replace the tire.. also check the rim for the same problem, you could have a bad tire an drim together which will really compound the problem

you mean taking a vette over 95 is a bad thing?? Mine must hate me. Haha. Mine used to shake a lot too, put my original wheels on with new tires and great balancing, made a world of difference, it's probably the wheel weight.
