Hi all,
Pasenger side #1 bodymount bracket installation.
It was messed up when I got the car.
So, i have it out and a new one.
How the heck does it re-mount?
Rivets?
There is a metal plate behind the fiberglass, 5 mount points.
nothing to weld to..
??

The originals are glassed in. I would try to replicate the original as much as possible. I believe the replacements can be pop rivited / epoxied into place. I would reglass the area if I could to try and bring it back to a somewhat original look then if you can.Tuxblacray 2008-02-24 16:22:12

Looks like 1/4 inch rivets.
Put a caliper to the holes in the mount, around .265
Off to Home Depot after work for some steele rivets, hope they have 'em!
1/4" sound correct?
Aluminum is prob. to weak..

I think if you stop by your favorite body shop they will probally give you what you need at no charge and..... they will give you a pointer or two for no charge.
My guys would do that for me anytime..... If it keeps me from bringing my anal attitude azz car back to their shop.... just kidding.....
