hi,

   I have good battery,power going to starter ok.starter and solenoid ok on bench test.

no ignition lights,key does nothing but turns ok.How do I get switch out?

Jack, before pulling the ign switch out, first check to make sure the wiring AT the starter is correct. You should have the large cable fromt he battery on the center terminal of the solenoid, along with a couple of smaller gauge wires. You should have a small purple wire on the inside terminal(closest to the engine block) of the solenoid. If those wires are int he correct spots, it's possible that one or more of the fuse links have popped. Fuse links will be up in the starter wiring harness about 6"-8". Fuse links can blow, and you'll pretty much loose all power to the car, or only certain systems...depending on which ones have blown.
Here's what a fuse link looks like.



Use a test light or voltmeter on BOTH sides of the link....if you have voltage on one side, but not the other, the link is no good. You can cut them out and reconnect the wires, but it's much safer to replace them asap. Over here, parts houses keep them in stock. I'm not sure about across the pond....

sorted ,someone had put them fuses in on just a twist together job.

cleaned them up ,solder then heat shrink.
