Vette(s): 1980 loaded red on red. 68,000 original miles. Second owner. Well documented with all original paperwork. NCRS Founders Award 9/27/14. NCRS Top Flight 10/12/14.
Last year I replaced the power door lock switches and pigtails. The pigtails are already falling apart! Won't mention where they came from. Before I purchase complete wiring harness for locks and window combined. I would greatly appreciate suggestions from other members on who they have purchased top quality electrical products from. I 'm sure other members have experienced the same thing. Thank you

Vette(s): 1980 L-48 still in the middle of a frame-off.

This is where I purchased my wiring from, you can also obtain it from vendors.   The fit and finish is excellent along with oem connectors make it a true plug and play item.

Unfortunately that is where they came from but purchased thru one of the other suppliers. Maybe I just had a bad set. I was thinking maybe other vendors have good, better, best. With a $60.00 range on the price from $90.00- $150.00 from different suppliers there had to be some difference. Usually it doesn't matter if items come from CC, Eckler's or Zip because they get them from LL.

Hi.  You might also check with Rik's in Morganton, NC.  They deal only with C2 and C3's and lots of times they have the parts the bigger suppliers dont have......like the little bulb that lights up the ac control on the console.  They are a family business and take personal interest in you and your problem.  And they ship FAST.

Thanks for Rik's info. Checked it out look great. Funny that you mention that little bulb because if you get one from the other guys it is the new style bulb and not like a crystal ball on top. Did you get the original GE 558 bulb? That bulb was made from 1966-2000 specifically for Corvette. They discontinued it 14 years ago. You were lucky to find them.

I would still contact Lectric Limited, regardless of who you purchased their product from(99% of the harnesses from ANY Corvette vendor will come from LL). They may be able to help you out on replacement connectors. I've used them for many lectrical parts, and have never had any issues at all....so far, anyway. Worth a shot before shelling out more $$$ to another vendor....Thumbs Up

btw...as far as Rik's....they are the BEST to do business with, bar none. Never had any problems with them on anything, for any reason. Their catalogs are great, too. When I was restoring the '74, NO-ONE had taillights for it('74 only). Rik called me one day out of the blue and asked if I was still looking, as he had just got a shipment of brand new repros.....first ones to be made.....would I like to have a set? HECK YEAH!! Clap Sold them to me at a really good price, and they were perfect in every detail. I apparently bought the first set sold. Since then, the price has gone way up on them. Rik and Laurie are super friendly, and willing to bend over backwards to help anyone if they can. Thumbs Up

I was giving bad information! Today I called the vendor I bought it from to confirm where the repair harness came from again and asked how can some other vendors have a $60.00 difference. The first response was it came from LL that is where all their harness come from. He said the two suppliers are LL or M&H. Told me he would check into and get back to me. Surprise surprise the repair connector came from Volunteer corvette. HMM! They said they will send out a replacement today. So I went on LL web site for the first time to compare but couldn't find the repair connector. So I called LL a women answered the phone I explained what I was looking for and I couldn't find it on their website. She said they have a catalog and that is what I was looking at on the web. I asked if she could look to see if they have what I needed. She replied " if you don't see it we don't have it." I explained I wasn't familiar with how items are listed on the site. She replied " for the second time if you don't see it we don't have it." And she hung up. So I called back and asked if she could send me a catalog. I went back on their web and found what I was looking for.
