Vette(s): 1978 Corvette Light Blue Pulled from the swamps of Miami! Its a driver and back on the road!
Ok, just put 12 v from battery and touched pos to 1 lead. The window works fine up and down. When I put the meter on to the wires going into the motor I get a 12 v indication to the blue wire only, nothing to the brown wire. So I guess there is a fault fri Om the switch by the shifter to the wire at the actuator. At the switch I,m sure I got a meter reading at both points on the switch. I will recheck that and tap in downstream of the switch a little so see if the switch is sending it out! If not will re-connect the wire, if not then it will probably be easier to get a new wire and run it out to the motor. The old wires are in a tape bundle and behind the new dash I just put in, I will fish a new brown wire to the motor. If someone has a better idea? Since the motor ran I assume the ground bolt to motor is good.i am not sure which bolt is the ground but only see one silver bolt right below the motor but have not checked the assmblt book yet. Again thanks for the info, should not be too hard to fish a new wire through the door to the motor. BB 78
