Is there anyway I can test the wiper relay to see if its working properly. I know the wiper motor works I have bench tested it and the wiper switch is brand new. I did check the fuse first.

 Soitanly! LOL
For the relay(any relay) to work, it must first have 12v anytime the key is on on one of the terminals, usually the one with the largest red wire on it. Next, it must also have a ground to energize the relay. Then, it needs a signal from a source(wiper switch, etc) to command it to be energized. In some cases, this signal is actually the ground for the relay. And lastly, it has to have one wire going out to the component being controlled by the relay. I don't have the wiring diagrams handy right now, or I could specify which terminal on the relay is what. I can look later tho, and find out, unless someone beats me to it(Bob)..... Thumbs Up

Are you talking about the wiper delay I don't believe their is a basic relay in the wiper circuit?

This is for 1980 which I think is the same

Ya...I wuz just looking at the wiring diagram...ain't gots no relay for the wiper motor. Just the intermittent wiper module. Ouch
Diagram DOES show a fuse link for the module, tho...very possible that fuse link is blown.

Thanks guys. I ordered the delay relay bypass and it doesn't fit my switch so I'm a little perplexed. When I noticed,my wipers not working I did hear a click coming from the delay relay. Still testing.

Fit into the switch??

Shouldn't that bypass connector take the place of the delay module located in the storage compartment?

That's what I thought Darryl, but its not even close. As soon as I get my computer back I can do more research.

It does plug into the relay, or the back of the relay.  I don't have the car here.  I'll check it out tomorrow when I get it.  Sarge, I'm heading to the 1000 Islands Tuesday morning and will be gone for a week, hopefully.  Thanks for the offer.  If it's still causing me a problem I'll bring it over after I get it back from Mankos.
