Parked the 69 vett in my garage and now the ignition switch will not turn on. Also, I can not get the shifter out of reverse. Any help/thoughts would be appreciated!
Not being able to turn the ign key switch is most likely a bad key cylinder, which requires a partial tear down of the column to repair. Not being able to get out of reverse is a function of the ignition lock....the trans must be in Park or Reverse to turn the key to the Lock position, which means the key also has to turn to the Run position to get the trans out of Park/Reverse.
I would suggest disconnecting the shift interlock cable from the column(under the hood) to make sure the cable is not out of adjustment, keeping tension on the key cylinder. If disconnecting the cable doesn't allow the key to turn, you will need to replace the key cylinder.

Turned out it was just a dirty key. I cleaned the long slot on the key and she fired right up! Thanks for the help!
😅Good deal!
