hello all, need someones expertise as i have searched the web and my manuals and can not identify this part. it is in the rear compartment it is below the the relays for the defogger, antenna, etc. and it is connected to a harnness which runs forward to the seat belts and up to the front console. it has a pigtail connector containing 9 wires, colors are: white w/black stripe, pink w/black stripe, pink, green, brown, brown w/white stripe, black, beige, purple. on the back of the pcb it has the number 6203-3 and REV-A. there is a silver mounting component soldered to the board which is rusted and has no markings but could be some kind of buzzer ?? any help would be greatly appreciated !! it is off a 1980 L 48.

Mike, could it be any part of the anti-theft system?
Mike, could it be any part of the anti-theft system?
Maybe. I know in 80 or 81 the alarm system got more sophisticated. Pretty sure it was in 81, tho. The 79(80?) and older were pretty crude. Mike mkapp7879 2007-02-16 21:52:40
On my '81 that is exactly the wire colours that I made as going to the Wiper Delay module. My 1981 shop manual has the circuit diagr on page 8A-49, which confirmed the 9 wires and colours for me. So good chance it is same for a 1980 ....

I got Bryan to send me a couple of pics of this part, as he was having trouble posting them. Here's what he sent...What th' heck is it?
Looks to me like it is the wiper delay module, with the circuit board attached, instead of being separate, as the earlier years..
