Joe,
I think you're right, the alarm relay is in that back compartment.

I have a 2 terminal relay? It's tucked against the left fron fender on the firewall. Anybody know what it is?

dave,
What color are the wires going into that relay? What does the relay look like?

If it's a little "box" with two mounting holes at the front, two spade terminals on the bottom and a threaded stud at the rear it's your horn relay.

Sound familiar? (no pun intended)

John

I'm afraid during the harness replacement, this part didn't get tagged, I don't know what color wires were on it. The 2 terminals are on the face and have brass hex nuts. It's no more than an inch wide and maybe inch and a half tall, about half inch thick.
I have another 68 in the shop right now and it doesn't have this relay. That old car is pretty hurt though so it doesn't mean much.
If it is the horn relay, then my new harness should have leads that reach it right? Green is the horn I believe. Most of the harness install is going pretty well, just a few little hiccups, and a new harness really helps the looks under the hood! |thumb|

Yes, green is the horn.
