I think this registry is awsome......
I'm definitely going to become a life member.
I am in desparate need of a wiring diagram for my 71 coupe. I have all the books on order (AIM, Shop manual and Owners manual) but I am in Oz and they will take some time to get to me. I really need to start working on my wiring.
Does anyone have an electronic copy of one? My email is
hogcarp@iinet.net.au
If Zenmaster Ken answers this, I will need to buy him a beer when I come over next year. Probably will anyway....

I don't have it electronicly. I do have it in print. Send me an address and I will send you a copy of the factory shop diagram.
Actually I will see if someone can scan and make a jpg. I will go to Office Max later.

Once again the Zen master has provided wisdom.
Thanks Ken, I was hoping someone may have had an electronic copy as I have got things on order but it can take up to six weeks to get the the land of Oz from the CONUS.

Thanks Tom, got em all ok and now I'll be able to get some work done this weekend. I still reckon this is an awsome site and all members are great.
Chrome bumpers forever.
As soon as I sort my URLs out I'll post some pics.

Tom, thanks for the assist. I went to Office Max. No luck. Went to Kinkos, They could do it for 24 dollars. Just to scan the diagrams! I came home and started to scan them in a piece at a time. I could not fit the whole thing on the scanner, and was going to break it in several parts. Glad I check befoe doing that.

Many thanks to Tom and Ken, your blood should be bottled.
I have printed out the diagrams and now have HUUUUGE wiring diags for my 71. I'll start work on it this weekend. The main things wrong are that some of the guages don't work and my cluster lamps don't come on. I'm hoping I only have blown fuses or bulbs. An aftermarket stereo has been fitted so maybe something has been dislodged. Will let you know after the weekend.

Now that I've had a chance to get at my fuse panel, cluster lamps were a blown fuse. someone had used a 3A instead of the 5A indicated on the fuse panel then wrapped it in foil. It looks as though some moisture has corroded some of the other terminals and the Horn/courtesy lamps 20A fuse is not making contact.
In my jack compartment (the other side from the battery) i have a black and an orange wire with spade terminals on that are flying free. I can't seem to find this on the wiring diagrams. I'm presuming they may have something to do with the pwr windows (not fitted to my 71).

Black is a ground.
Red is a constant hot, key on or off
Orange is hot with key on.
It was not uncommon for some wires to be there and not used when some acessories were not used.
