Im working on a friends vette that has a dead draw. The circuit it is on is the second slot under the flaher on the left. was hoping someone would have information of what all is on that circuit. it has a 20 amp breaker in it. as soon as i remove the breaker the draw is gone. its a wonder the car doesnt burn up as hot as the breaker gets!

What year?
Breakers were only used for certain options...power windows, power seats, and some rear window defoggers.

Oh yeah...like I actually READ the titles.....

Rod, according to the wiring diagram, the power window circuit breaker is under the hood. The only CB I can see on the fusebox is for the power seats. The rear defogger does not have a CB.
I can email you the diagram, if it would help....

Thanks for the information. It may be a couple weeks until I get a chance to get back on it. Im trying to get the 72 in good enough shape to drive it to Carlisle on next Friday and its not looking good. I'll let you know how it worked out.

Apparently there is something drawing too much amperage on that circuit. There should NOT be a CB there....I guess they got tired or crawling under there to replace fuses, and just substituted the CB.
Iffin I wuz guessin(which I do most of the time), I'd guess the problem is in the ciggy lighter end of the circuit....might check to see if there is a dime or penny down in there causing the short.
Also...if this car has the delay courtesy light timer, the module could be causing a draw if it is bad.
