Click HERE for a look at where the starter is located, so you'll have an idea.
You can raise the front of the car on ramps, but it might be hard to get to the starter with ramps in the way....depends on the ramps.
The starter is held to the engine with two bolts at the "nose", and a small bracket at the rear of the starter motor. First, dis-connect the battery. With the front of the car raised safely, remove the rear bracket, if your's is still there. (A lot of them have been removed at some point, and not replaced.)
Then, disconnect the starter wiring, and pay close attention to which wire goes on which terminal, so you'll know where to re-install them.
Once the wires are all off, loosen the two bolts that hold the starter to the engine, and then remove one of the bolts completely. Hold the starter up with one hand, and remove the last bolt...make sure you have a good grip on the starter, as it is quite heavy. Notice if there are any thin metal shims between the starter and the engine. Some starters have/need them, some don't. If your's has shims, you'll probably need to reinstall them with the new starter.
Replace the new starter in reverse, making sure the wiring is correct, and the bolts are good and tight. Re-connect the battery, and go for a drive, and enjoy a job well done!
