When I replaced the horn I didn't mount it in the same spot because the bolt broke off.I made this nice bracket and bolted it underneath to the frame.WRONG!. That grounded the horn making a complete circuit.I remounted the horn back on the inner wheel well that is fiberglass, now the circuit is open and works when the door and hood pin switches are grounded by being opened.

Good tip! Glad to hear you got it working.|thumb| I am going to try and get mine working here soon. First is getting a key made for the switch. Any other suggestions you have to make the process easier will fall on open ears.

Aloha,

Bret

I took the alarm switch out and took it to a locksmith he made me 2 keys for $17.00. Had I mounted the horn back where it was it would of worked 1st try.I had my relay and flasher checked out they were fine. There're located in the rear passenger side compartment, lift out the plastic tray. There mounted on the front side.

Dave,

The luggage compartment light is located dead center, a few inches down on the back panel. If you need a pic, I can email one to you. Let me know.

Hey Dave,

Check out Brian's website. His picure of the interior's back light is real good. Shows its location perfectly. |thumb|

Brian- GREAT WEBSITE!.

First time I have visited it. Your frame off restoration and pics are fantastic. Its easy to see how a body mount replace could turn into a frame off. No stretching my imagination there. One of these days I will do it, using your checklist will be a real plus. I am also considering the firebird seatbelts. Great tip as well.

Aloha,

I found out that the hardest part of most projects is the part about not knowing where to start. I got help from forums like this one and hope to make it easier for the next guy. Good luck
