Had a power loss issue recently, it was a questionable fusible link
going to my starter. Battery good, no nothing. I have just changed both
fusible links. You might want to check these as well.
Same symtoms, no power anywhere, then full power. Almost as if it were re-setting itself.
Good Luck

I had they same symptoms after bragging about how long the battery had lasted in Tux (5yrs no maintenance) Then 3 days before Pidgeon Forge it took a crap and started doing the exact same thing you are describing.
As noted previously I took it out and had it tested. It tested good. Then I tested it in the car and it didn't charge as it should. I replaced it with an Interstate because my buddy is a mechahnic an he told me if the battery cured the car then buy it. If not we would check further.
Being an inqusitive sort I took the "bad" battery to an industrial battery sales friend of mine. He gave it to the shop boys to tear apart an see if the battery was truly the culprit. They found that a plate had fallen over inside the battery. It would indicate it was charging up to par but quickly lose it's zap when called upon to do it's duty.
All that said, get the battery tested 1st and go from there. You might not have to do much more research. However if you are like me you will just beacuse its buggin you.

It was the rear cable. It had corroded to where only about 10 strands of wire was holding together and they were real corroded. I replaced the wire and she fired right up.

Yep I was gonna suggest ya go ahead an replace that too since you had already found it to be in bad shape.
Don't be braggin on the battery though or ya will be endin up like I did...

Never, EVER talk about how good your car is, or how well it has been runnin....that's a good way to JINX IT!!!
I was tellin meself one day how good a car my old Cordoba was, considerin how bad I treated it....
as soon as I said it, the dang thing puked
it's guts out all over the hiway...pistons-rods-erl-water...
I've had a couple of other cars that did the same thing after braggin on 'em....
Now, I always have the biggest POS you ever did see...as far as the car knows!
Glad you gotter fixed, Glen!
