For a road machine, if they are the original size, it won't benefit you performance wise. Perhaps on the track due to lighter weight. If they are under sized pullies, you may notice a difference, but not a lot on the street. This depends on several other factors. In some cases the undersized pullies can make a noticable difference.
But the value of looking good is another story. If you like them, it's worth it.

I put a set on mine when I had the motor out for a rebuild. I don't know if they added to the output of the motor because I added a totally new intake system. If you are going to do the swap, go ahead and have them powdered coated clear and you will never have to polish them again, or you could go the March Pulley route and they are coated already just costly.

Steve, if you look closely you can see that my set is the underdrive set. You can see the damper pulley is smaller than the damper. So far, 3000 miles or so, no problems.

Vette(s): 1971 T-top. I just had car shipped from my parents house in florida where it has sat for over 12 years..It is going to be a long project!
Eddie, are yours the March pullies? I put a set on mine, but the engine is not in the car yet. I havent put on belts yet either but they dont seem to match up perfect. so my question is did you have a hard time aligning yours?
Yes, mine are the March pullies. The only hard place for me was at the alternator. I changed to an aluminum water pump and with the pumps thicker feet I could not use the stock alternator mount or the bracket would hold the ALT. about an 3/4 to 1 inch out. I wound up buying a Zoops style alternator bracket and that solved my alignent issues.
