I have a 74 Vette. I have question I am hoping someone can answer.

My blower motor will not work on the highest settting. It will only work on the other slower settings. Is this because of a bad resistor and where is it? I have factory AC.

Thanks
Michael

The high setting is controlled by a relay mounted to the heater box inside the engine compartment. It has a plug with 4 wires on it and is close to the exhuast manifold on the passenger side.

I also have a 74 and the blower wouldn't work n high. I was the high fan relay. If you send me an email I will get back with you on a simple way to test it to be sure. It will require jumping a couple of terminals on the relay with a jumper wire. If you feel comfortable with doing it I will look at mine and tell you just how to do it. I also can tell you an inexpensive way to replace it as soon as I try my idea and make sure it will work

I too have had a similar problem. There is a 30 amp inline fuse, about 4 or 5 inches below the relay that was blown on mine. |thumb|
