Any ideas on this one.........when i put on turn signals, nothing happens (no signal). When I touch the brakes, both turn signal lights in dash bezel light up! Driving me crazy! Didn't start until I had R&R'd the console to install new carpet, but I don't think I pinched any wires when putting the console back in.

THANKS!

Try replacing the turn signal relay. Mine stopped, but the turns signals would light when I stepped on the brake. Available at Pep boys everywhere

I'm not sure about your '69, but my '76 had a relay which had to be mounted to a ground point. It was attached to the front driver side of the console. It was held in place with the screw that attached the console to the mounting tab. Maybe that will help... I may have a pic that will show you the tab I'm speaking of. Let me know if you need it...

Are you guys both referring to the same relay? Great if so.....

yes Owen, if you could email me the icture of the tab that would be great.

Chelseadad, sounds like you had same problem as me, right? Where is the turn signal relay you mention located?

THANKS SO MUCH both of you! |thumb|

Inside the passenger side dash panel. I found it while working on the gauge cluster. It is a standard flasher unit you can pick up at any auto parts store. Around 5 dollars... |saluteflag|
Good luck |thumb|

Well, it turned out that it was the WIRING CONNECTOR right at the flasher itself. |thumb|
