I'm working on my center shift console.

Got a heave gage pink wire running along the tunnel. They spliced a wire between it and the fan switch. They connected it up to the tan wire going to the fan switch.
What is with that?
The fan worked and the car ran so While I would like to get Buba out or my car I'm a little reluctant to do that without some advice.

On my car, heavy pink wires are all hot when the ignition is on. They
feed the distributor electronics, gauge cluster, etc. Someone may have
found a convenient source of switched 12v and hacked into it.

The tan wire there goes to the blower motor resistor block. Perhaps the resistor for that speed is burnt/damaged, and someone jumped the pink wire to have that fan speed?

That sounds reasonably like something Bubba would have done. Why fix something when you can jury-rig it.

Where is the resistors located?
Do you know the resistor ohm readings?

Thanks for the picture. I would have had a difficult time finding that one.
Adam by the way the resistors are open wire type not burned so much for that being the reason Bubba put in the jumper. I also noticed that some of the wires were toughing on one of them. I spaced them out a little and will install it later today.

Ya, the resistors for the fan speed are just coiled wires. They can get some corrosion where they are crimped, and not allow current thru them, and thus not have that one(or more) fan speed.
