Periodicaly when I turned off the engine and removed the key the buzzer sounded and wouldn't stop until I disconected the battery, or reinserted the key.  I reconect the battery and doesn't   come back on until I remove the key. I wouldn't have the problem again for a week or two.  Now it happens all the time.  I disconected the buzzer under the dash. Does this sound like a realy problem or a short in the system?  Can I leave it like this until I get a chance to work on it later?

I agree wid Bob...it's most likely the contact "switch" at the key cylinder.

I used red duct tape over the little button on the LT-1.

That buzzer just pissed me off.Censored

Had to duct tape it twice for good results but did make sure to use "Monza Red" tape so I wouldnt be de"duct"ed in the eyes of a NCRS judge!Rolling%20On%20The%20Floor%20Laughing

I did get a quote of about $200 to replace the cylinder to match the doors.

As it is the door key doesnt match the engine key anyway.doh

You only need 2 tools.
WD-40 if it doesnt move and its supposed to and
duct tape it it moves and it isnt supposed to.

Thats it.
