Depends on the stereo. No destructions with it? Or did the stero come with the car, but the antenna just ain't hooked up?

Mine is on a toggle switch of its own. I like it better that way, does not have to all the way deployed if not wanted. I also have after market stereo. I have trouble with reception, not sure if the antenna is not trimed or something in the mount is awray. Cassette is used most of the time if we have it on. I ENJOY the MUSIC of the engine/exaust much more.

I'm about to put a CD player (compliments of my good friend and fellow C3VR member OSSW1/Dave) in the wife's '78. Never thought about the antenna hook up, but I really like the idea of a switch. Think I'll employ that method in this project. Thanks buddy, good idea

if you have a aftermarket power antanna you will need those inst's to, some after market antanna' have one wire from the radio to the antanna so when you turn the radio on it goes up, and another wire from the antanna to ???????? to power it down when you turn it off, sorry, ....
