On my 1968, behind the center gauge cluster is what looks like a capacitor.  I was installing a new oil pressure hose line and removed some gauge plugs. Now putting back together I see this capacitor with a wire not connected to anything.  Not sure if it was connected to one of the gauges or not.  Been searching the web but no matches.  Anyone know what this is for?  Maybe for the original radio?

Without checking the wiring diagram, I would say it most likely connected to the Amp gauge.
