Any thoughts on this?

My choke light and buzzer come on at idle, when gassed it may go away. SOmetimes it does turn off, some times it doesn't. My battery light sometimes comes on at the same time too. I checked the alternater, its putting out at 14 on both the car gauge and the hand held. I checked the wire to the carb, its getting current. Any thoughts?

Thanks! Kevin

AC coming out of the alternator. Check the diodes.

Does anything happen with the radio at the same time?(if it is the factory radio, that is) There is a reason for this question, as the choke and radio are on the same circuit.
I'd have to say it may well be a A/C current issue with the alternator @ idle, IF there is no short problems with the wiring to the choke coil, or the coil itself.

Fixed with some intervention from my friends at Allens (yet again). The alternator was running very erratic. It would read ok then it would spike to like 16.7 volts. When that happened my dash lit up because it cooked the battery hence triggering the battery light. All fixed.
