hi everyone.
i'm beginning to track some wiring (as i'v had some electrical issues lately),
and i'm learning as i go. so please bear with me, since i may have a couple (lot) of questions coming in the near future Smile.

anyway, i was looking at my fuse panel and saw that there is no circuit breaker in the slot.
in the '74 service manual it shows a circuit breaker in the picture of the fuse panel and explains it's purpose.
however, my assembly manual has a great illustration of the fuse panel also and the spot for the breaker is empty.

so, should i have one??  i would think so.

thanks.

jeff

I checked several parts sources, and the only listing I can find is for a power window circuit breaker.  But I believe it wires in the window circuit away from the fuse block.  I couldn't find any reference to a cuircuit breaker in the fuse box.  Sorry to not be of more help.

The only circuit breaker on the '74 is for the power windows, and it is under the hood, to the pass side of the brake booster.

If you are referring to the '74 service manual, section 12-48, you'll notice the picture there(fig. 64) states "Fuse Panel (Typical)". It's not showing a fuse panel for a Corvette...just what a fuse panel typically looks like.

If your car doesn't have power windows, then you won't have the circuit breaker under the hood.
