When I tried to set the time on my clock the whole stem pulled right out. I screwed the stem back in, but, the little knob is lost somewhere in the car. Under the seat maybe. I have a good little magnet that I went probing with and all I found was three screws. Have no idea where they go. Question is this. Has anyone ever had their clock rebuilt? I noticed in the Zip catalogue that I can send it to them for a rebuild, or I can buy a new one. Standard or Quartz movement. The car is stock, so I think I'd be inclined to rebuild the old one. Also, is there any good advise that may save me grief as to removing/installing the clock?

I've just sent my speedo and a clock I bought on e-bay to Roger, based on previous reccommendations from you guys. I hope to get them back soon so I can get the car out of the garage! It's supposed to be 77 at home today, although I'm travelling on business. Oh well, that takes away the temptation to drive and make the miles inaccurate on the odometer.
I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!

Most clocks (as far as I know)... only need a little machine oil and light sanding of the contact point. That's what I did on mine and it now works like a charm. btw; it you decide to give it a shot yourself, be careful with the tabs, they can only be bent/unbent so many times before they break.
I posted a link before with a detailed procedure to diy. I'll find it later and repost it.
Unless I didn't understand what happened, when you pulled it, there should have been a tiny screw holding the cap. Was it missing ?
