Saturday, I timed it and took it for a spin. I had it right on 10 BTDC. Until the 3rd gear (on automatic), it didn't feel right; the engine was rumbling/shaking and wanted to shut off at red lights; had to keep it on neutral to have it rev a little bit higher. There was clearly no power.
Got back home and re-read the books to try to figure out what I could have done wrong (and thinking it could be the carburator). Turned out I missed the very first step : Unplug the Vacuum!

Re-timed it today, took it for a spin and
WOW
. What a difference with the Ignitor II & Flame Thrower II coil.

People were looking at me thinking that I was crazy, since all I have in the interior right now, are the seats and a steering and the driver's console. Everything else is out. It didn't mather to me, it wasn't about showing off, my smiling was all about the engine.
More question : I replace all the points (spark plugs, rotor, dist. cap, spak plug wires,...). On my spark plug wires, I use a heat shield on top of the boot to protect them from the headers. The problem is that 2 or 3 of the wires pops out once in a while ! Do you guys think its a problem with the wires (AC Delco 7mm) or it's possible that I have put the shield too close to the end of the boot ? The spark plug wires that were there before, were Accel high performance and were a little bit longer (about 2" each) and fitted better the spark plugs.
Any thoughts?
Also, with the module and new coil, my dwell/rpm meter does not read rpm at the coil anymore. Is it normal ?

Try removing one of the spark plugs, and checking to see if they bottom on the plug boot before they clip into position. Using shorter plugs may require a slight trimming of the boot to allow it to go on all of the way.
You tach should still work on the neg side of the coil. No matter what ignition you have, it still needs to pulse the coil. Those pulses are there or the car would not run. A tach/dwell meter reads those pulses.
