Here's my current problem. The switch on the drivers side (below the door latch) for the courtesy lights fell into the panel. The hole that it goes into is enlarged enough that the switch won't stay in place. There are 2 rivets, one above the opening, and one below it. I've been told there's a metal plate with threads behind the hole which is held in place by these rivets, which the switch is screwed into. Doesa anyone kow if this is correct, and if so, where in heavens name do I find such a plate  ?

I've also noticed a metal plate in the rear wheel well, that has 4 screws. It looks like an access to the wire/ switch. Does anyone know what are, if any, options or suggestions to help correct this problem ?  Thanks        ;           ;           ;           ;           ;           ;           ;           ;           ;           ;           ;           ;           ;           ;           ;           ;           ;

Cookie,

The plate in the rear wheel well is a body-mount access panel.  I'm unsure if the wires that you want to access can be reached from there.

Thanks Anthony, I just found that out, there has to be a way to get to it. The biggest problem is finding the attachment plate, which is behind the door jam. The guy at Layton said he can make one, so maybe it's not my biggest problem.

Take off the rear quarter trim, the wires are behind it, and you can access the back of the switch from there as well.

Yes, I'm sorry, I should have been more specific. The interior trim right behind the door.
