When I first got the car, both turn signal indicators worked.  Then they stopped (but the lights all work).

Now, once in awhile, the right indicator works.  Then it doesn't.  Then it does.  You get the idea. Wits%20End

Since e-lec-tricity is magic to me, any suggestions before I dig in??  Just a nit-noid thang, since the lights all work, but I'd like them to work.  Short in the system??  Bulb out on the left indicator?  If so, will the right continue to work?

I know the Corvette gods out there can handle this slow pitch.  Who's gunna hit it outta da park? Hep me, Mr. Wizard!  Mike

Big%20smileI would guess it is the turn signal switch located in the steering column. I am only guessing but having a 71 myself it would be the second place I
would look after replacing the flasher which only costs $3.19 . The flasher
is located in the fuse panel upper left corner.  The signal switch is not an easy job as the steering wheel must come off. Get some local experienced help and it won't be bad.

If the turn sigs on the outside work on both sides, and it's only the little green arrows in the dash that work when they feel like it, it will be:
1) Loose socket(s) for the indicator bulb(s)
2) Bulb itself(most likely)
3) Dash wiring

looks like Mike will be doing one of two things...pulling the dash out, or...saying "Een-dee-kators?!? We don needs no stinkin een-dee-kators!"
