Vette(s): 1978 Corvette Light Blue
Pulled from the swamps of Miami!
Its a driver and back on the road!
Ok so Saturday morning my son and I decide it's time to remove the transducer and give CeeDee's instructions the go. Ok we get the transducer out ok and get to step 3 in the instructions and its where you open up the transducer and one side/part should have the ceramic magnet and the metal coil and the rubber clutch with the centering rod....Well mine was missing..
. no rubber clutch no coiled spring and no pin... See I told you I bought this corvette from the gator guy in the swamps of Florida..
..How people destroy a nice car like a Vette. So I could not go any further on CeeDee's instructions which I was excited to accomplish since he had everything so well done. Earlier before I received the CeeDee's manual I had purchased a new transducer because I was not going to even attempt to clean it. Well now I don't think it's worth my time to hunt down the missing parts. If Carlise Car show was next week maybe but I would miss drivnig my car...Ok so now you know the rest of the story!!!!
BB78 Will let you know how the new one works!

CeeDee, would you send me your PDF to clean the transducer.... kjgcsmith@gmail.com
My 82 original failed about 14 months ago and I replaced it with one from CC and now it is starting the same problems (jumpy speedo at 0 to 15 mph and jumping in initial speed when setting). I kept my original and will clean it.
Has anyone found a supplier for new internal parts if I need to rebuild?????
Thanks
