Started working on the dash trying to find out why the oil pressure pegs to the right (over 90 PSI) when the vehicle is not running and reads normal pressure when vehicle is running, anyway after removal of the center cluster I found 4 light sockets missing (1978 vette)and the others did not light. Checked the bulbs (good light when wired directly to battery. Replaced the bulbs in the circuit board alas no light. Does anyone know where I can obtain new sockets and could the main circuit board be causing the oil pressure to read in reverse?

I purchased all of my dash sockets from them. You should be able to get the plug in bulbs at your local auto supply store.

I'm not sure about the pressure gauge problem, but I just replaced a couple light sockets on my 75. If yours are the same they are about 2.50 each at most auto parts stores. Mine snap in to a 5/8 diameter hole and have a single lead. I prefer to splice them in by soldering and then some heat shrink tubing.

Stores like Pep Boys and Advance Auto carry the light sockets. Take one with you as there are two sizes to choose from. They carry the light bulbs as well...regular stock items.
