I have read everything I can find about the dash lights on this site. I know that there has to be power to the side marker lights and that the dash lites, with their own fuse, get power from the marker light circuit. I checked the fuse for the CLK LTR  CTSY thinking that fuse MIGHT be for power to side marker lights?. Fuse tested good with continuity and shows 12V to both ends of the fuse in the socket. The right end of the bracket moves a little with the fuse out so I am wondering if the voltage test showed power to both ends of the fuse but not necessarily to a (broken?) wire connected below the bracket.

Fuses all look good, and test good, so I dont know for sure what fuse feeds the side marker light circuit?

I cant find anywhere about the side marker circuit!  Somebody, please throw me a rope!

TIA

Year model would be helpful...

What kind of issue are you having with the dash/marker lights?

Sorry about not stating year; it's a 69. Dash lights wont light. They did before.  I have come to learn that the side marker light circuit feeds current to the dash lights fuse. Side markers don't light up and I dont know if they ever did. Gauge light fuse is good so it must not be getting power from the side marker circuit. Which fuse is for the side marker circuit?  Nothing named as such.  They all look good.  The wiring diagrams are mostly unreadable to my old eyes!

Thanks for your reply!!

Dash lights, and running lights all go thru the headlight switch on the same circuit. If NONE of those lights work, I would suspect the headlight switch is either not functioning properly, or there is a bad/loose connection there. Might be a broken wire between the fusebox and headlight switch, but my bet is the headlight switch is the culprit....they have a fairly high failure rate.

Thank you so much for the tip about the headlight switch. I will pursue that rather than lying here dead in the water!

Any supplier more reliable than another as far as quality switches?  I think I can get one from Advance Auto locally=quick fix!

Thanks again for your wisdom and support!

Terry

Correcto Mundo ,Mr Adams Apple! A switch problem it WAS! Had headlights but nothing else so I put dielectric grease on the contact of the switch and pushed it on firmly. Got all lights!

Thank you sir and all on this site forsharing your knowledge with all!
