Thanks guys! My dash lights were all out as well. With the information you all have posted, i found it quickly. Disconnected the feed from the switch into the fuze panel and there was no power with the switch in the one position. Switch is bad. Double checked this by jumping power into the connection and low and behold she shined.

Thanks again.

Replaced switch and all is good!! The switches must get hot. The plug had a few areas where the plastic was melted. Is this normal?

The hot spots are not normal, but not uncommon. This happens in most cars, not just Vettes. It's a result of the connectors not making tight contact. Over time, vibration and heating and cooling cause the contacts in the connectors to relax, and become loose. The poor connection creates resistance, and causes the heat, which leads to the burning.

So make very sure all connectors are clean and tight, or you will see a repeat failure. You don't have to replace them, just make sure they are clean and tight.
