Howdy,

I've got the dimmer switch at your feet(so you use the left foot to turn on the "Bright" lights, and turn them off again). I turned them on Sunday night about 80 miles from home on the interstate and the suckers have yet to turn off(well, when I turn off the lights they turn off, but not otherwise)...makes night driving a bit hairy as people around here really don't like being high-beamed. Was wondering if anyone knew anything about these switches or if I should just spend the money and order a new one from Zip Vettes(would NOS or Used from a junkyard be cheap enuf to bother with?) Or should I try to rebuild the existing switch? having no idea what is really wrong with it.

Well, Ok...three people voted out of 17 views, but they seemed to believe that I should order the part. So I did...10.50$...any savings I may have had by calling around/rebuilding were definatly not going to be worth it with the price of the part, it'll be here Friday and I'll know then if I should have ignored ya'll or not, thanks for the input =)

Scot,

Did you try your local parts store? Back when I ran a NAPA store, we always stocked that part.....oh wait....that was 24 years ago....and your car was still a new car |bigeyes| .

Still, I'd give the local NAPA (or others) a call....in many cases if they don't have it in stock, they can have it the next day....

I already ordered it....way I figure it..with a 10$ part...I can't save enough to make it worth shopping around...seems like it costs me about that much to start my Vette!!! |laugh| |laugh| |laugh| |laugh| She needs a tune up..new spark plugs the works....
