Which of your cars are you referring to? On my 80, the power locks and horn are hooked up to the clock/courtesy light fuse. It should be a 20A blade type. The fuse box is a right pig to get to, but the one you're after is on the lower end of the box, pretty much in the middle, so should be easier to get at than the ones right up under the dash.
What caused it to go in the first place?

Like i say, i can only tell you what I know from my 80, but i imagine the fuses are set out in a similar manner on the later c3's.....
The workshop manual's a good investment, as this would have specific wiring idagrams etc..
Good luck

Hey Ann
Hmm, not sure about a 76! I only have (limited) knowledge of the 80, 'cos that's what I've got!
However, I did have a problem with my horns recently, and can run you through what i did...
Only one of my twin horns worked - turned out one had just "stuck" (they have a kind of diaphragm inside them, this vibrates to make the sound and i guess over time it sticks solid) so I took it out and gave it a good tap with a hammer! Check your horn relay, now i can't guarantee i know where yours is, mines on the steering column, down low. This should click when you press the horn button. If it doesn't then maybe your relay is stuffed, or you have a problem further up, i.e in the button. Never done anything with these, so there may be other better qualified people on here to ask!
Check up at the horns - do they have a good earth? They earth through the actual mounting bolt, I think, so check for rust and crap here. You can "bench test" these horns: If you take it out of the car, put a battery +ve on the live conector, ie where its wired up to normally, and touch a clean bit of the horn body to
-ve, you should get a noise (can be a bit of a shock if you're close!) |laugh|

Anyway good luck with it all...

theo,
turns out the problem was the former owner |cussing| he must have had a problem keeping the button in the middle of the column in so he put a ton of putty and some epoxy, glue, on it and forced it back on so now i have the button off and am doing the clean up.hope i don't have to pull the whole column cuz it looks like alot of glue |hammer| |cussing| |biggrin| will let you know how it turns out |wavey|

It can be a right pain in the neck sorting out previous owners' cock ups, up to now i've been lucky with my vette, as the previous owner was a competent and clever guy, it appears.

Still, nobody does as good a job as yourself, but you're also your own worse critic - bit of a contradiction, but you know what i mean!
Hope it all goes ok
