Was detailing the engine bay getting ready to do a cruise-in this weekend and lo and behold an unexplained section of wire coming from the main harness between the rear of the heater box and the coolant reservior. It was tucked down and behind the fender well. It has two green wires going into a small black plastic connector and a jumper wire fitted across the female portion of the connector. Any one have any clues as to what this setup is all about. I took three pix and will be happy to email them if I can't get them attached to this post. Thanks again fellow C3ers.

I believe it is for air conditioning possible Thermostatic sw installed to prevent Ice build up or high low sw, it has been bypassed with a jumper.
rraider1,
You may be exactly correct. If I leave it alone and retape it and tuck it back where I found it, would that be the best thing to do?
Also, the a/c has been disconnected and the compressor was removed by the PO..if it makes any difference.

Is there a green wire going to your compressor?

it should be in the circuit that provides power to the compressor, if you have no air then in can be stowed and secured until you want to get your air working
