I've hopefully solved a recurring electrical problem. Every once in a while, my 69 would completely lose all power (electrical that is). Couple of times that called for quick thinking to find a safe place off the road.

I started looking at the wiring at the starter and noticed a lot of tape. As it turns out, the 10 gauge red wire with the fuseable link going to the fuse panel was spliced by being twisted together and was falling apart.

What is the fuseable link rated at and where's a good place to get a replacement?

Don't have the specs here handy, but I would assume the main fuse-link would be around 30amp.
They do have replacement fuse-links at most parts houses. They don't look the same as factory, but they will work the same.

If it isn't there then I would check the grounds, starting with the cable from the battery to the crossmember.
